Prior to joining CURIE in 2021 and assuming the CEO role, Patrick had spent several years leading national practices and risk advisory for some of the largest insurance brokerages in Canada. He is a seasoned leader with 29 years of experience in property and casualty insurance, specialty underwriting, and alternative risk solutions. In addition to other senior executive leadership roles he held previously in Canada and the United States, Patrick also served as the President and CEO of Zurich Canada from 2012-2017.

Mandeep Singh is the Senior Vice-President (SVP) of Brokering Services.  He has over 20 years of commercial insurance experience with extensive brokerage leadership experience over the last 15 years.  Prior to joining CURIE, Mandeep specialized in the development and management of program business, placement of large complex casualty and property accounts and managing relationships with key suppliers.  Mandeep has his Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) from Brock University and is a Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario (RIBO) since 2004.

Michael is an experienced financial professional having worked on numerous large and mid-sized engagements globally within Insurance practice of Deloitte and EY. During the last few years Michael has been leading teams on IFRS 17 implementation projects and he is well versed in regulatory reporting and compliance requirements of insurance companies in Canada and globally. Having spent more than 10 years in the insurance and asset management practice, he has Association of Chartered Certified Accountants designation and Certification in General Insurance. He has an engineering background and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

James joined the CURIE team in May 2012. He has extensive technical knowledge and holds a Canadian Risk Management (CRM) Designation.

Jillian joined CURIE in 2014 with over 18 years in the insurance sector, with various prior positions held in property and casualty insurance. She holds a Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation and Advanced Chartered Insurance Professional (ACIP) designation. Jillian is currently working towards her Fellowship CIP designation.

Piotr Luszczyk joined CURIE in February 2023 as the Director of Underwriting & Insurance Products/Services Development. A graduate from George Brown College, who has his CIP, CRM and RIBO designations. He has been working in the insurance industry for the last 15 years.

After joining CURIE in 2021, Michael brings over 20 years of industry experience. His thorough approach to his work, combined with his genuine interactions with members makes for strong partnerships and client relations. Michael has worked in insurance and has had exposure to a variety of experiences in the industry. Michael graduated from Mohawk College and has his CIP, CRM and CFEI designations. 

Lynn Turnbull, CIP, LLB joins CURIE in October 2023 as the new in-house general counsel. She received her Bachelor of Law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1994 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1996. Lynn’s career includes 25 years at an insurance defence boutique, expanding her practice of defending claims involving complex motor and recreational vehicle accidents, occupiers’ liability, product liability, medical malpractice, professional negligence as well as transportation and property losses. Prior to Lynn completing her LLB degree, she spent nine years in the insurance industry and obtained her CIP. Lynn  was the Consulting Editor for the 2022 version of the Consolidated Ontario Insurance Statutes and Regulations as well as the 2023 version, which was released in January 2024.
